Family Owned and Operated Since 1955
In 1955, Calvin & Betty Petty and Vern Strack co-founded Petty Strack Shower Door Company. Both Mr. Petty and Mr. Strack were tile setters in the Kansas City
area and saw a need for a local shower door company. Their original location was in Merriam, Kansas, on Merriam Drive. They soon outgrew that location and moved the business around the corner to Merriam and Johnson Drive.
Move to Olathe
In 1968, Vern Strack retired and Calvin & Betty Petty moved the business to Olathe, Kansas, changing the name to Petty Products, Inc. That
location was on Santa Fe Street and K-7 Highway. They remained there until 1989 and then moved to the present location at 224 N. Monroe Street in Olathe, Kansas.
Presently
Petty Products, Inc. is now operated by Mr. & Mrs. Petty's son-in-law and daughter, Bob and Diana Peterson. His grandson, Bert Peterson and wife Nancy, are also employed by the company.
